How to get reservations at the Hacker Festzelt Oktoberfest tent:
Reservation requests at this tent will not be taken for any weekend or evening tables, only select dates for lunch.
Requests are only processed via their online form and through their reservation page which is updated frequently once they open up for “new inquiries”.
That means that people who have had reservations in the past (“repeat customers”) get first dibs.
It’s a little complicated though: you make your reservation request, then you get an email within a few days to confirm it, BUT the reservation isn’t binding until you actually pay for your vouchers, which takes place in July.
At the start of July, you are automatically sent an invoice with the minimum purchase amount (2x beer & 1x chicken/food voucher per person), plus shipping. Once the payment goes through, you get a payment confirmation and the vouchers / admission tickets are sent out to you.
Overall Hacker-Festhalle Decor & Vibe
Nicknamed “Bavarian Heaven”, Hacker-Festhalle is known as one of the best tents in terms of decor (a painted ceiling shows fluffy white clouds and painted motifs of famous Munich landmarks), plus as a bonus: it’s one of the best tents at Oktoberfest for a good party.
This tent is one of my favourites. You’re guaranteed a great time here, especially towards the end of the evening.
That said, it’s very popular, so it might be tough to get a table if you’re not proactive. It’s especially atmospheric at night, when the lights have dimmed, the star lamps are lit and the rock and roll band comes out to dole out banger after banger (think Dancing Queen, Angels, We Are the Champions, etc.)
